I have a US private pilot certificate (license), an instrument rating, a bunch of endorsements for things like taildraggers, complex and high performance single engine aircraft, etc., and have some aerobatic (and aerobatic photography...) training and experience — all of which typically surprises people who don't know me well (I'm just the average poverty-stricken intellectual as far as most people can tell). And since I'm such an intellectual, I write a lot about it all in one or more of the following sites:

	Yankee Alpha Foxtrot Bravo — my main flying blog, describing general aviation (GA) flying in Northern California as I experience it.
	The original Learning To Fly Diary — my day-by-day web diary (a blog avant la lettre, really), describing what it took to get my initial pilot's license here in Northern California. Ends in 1999; restarts a few years later with YAFB, above.
	My Instrument Training Diary — a spin-off from the early days of YAFB (above), describing my successful day-to-day attempt to get a US instrument rating at a time when the old round mechanical gauges ("steam gauges") were giving way to the (much nicer) computer screens and "glass cockpits" fitted out with with GPS and autopilots, etc.
